Here at Ashmore Palms, we offer holiday guests a range of free activities, to make your Gold Coast family holiday even more affordable and fun!
Off-Peak Holiday Activities
During 2024 off-peak periods, kids can join activities with Miss Kellie for some of her speciality activities.
These generally include: kids craft on Tuesdays; sand art on Wednesdays; family balloon modelling workshops on Fridays; and face painting or glitter tattoos on Saturdays (these alternative weekly).
Additional activities are held during school holidays.
Summer School Holiday Activities
Make the most of your summer 2024/25 school holidays with a fun-filled getaway to Ashmore Palms, featuring a range of exciting activities for the whole family.
Join Miss Kellie for her popular balloon modelling workshops, face painting, kids’ crafts, and sand art.
Get ready to juggle and laugh along with Mr Kaboodle’s circus fun, and experience close encounters with snakes and other fascinating reptiles in the Wild Rangers Wildlife Experience.
Let the kids show off their dance moves at the discos on selected nights.
Take a dip with the Mermaids and enjoy a complimentary morning tea by the lagoon.
Other free activities include gaming in the Ghostly Games truck, the Xplay gaming room, and hands-on fun in our wacky science workshops.

Swim with the Mermaids
Experience the magic of our signature Swim with the Mermaids event these Summer holidays at Ashmore Palms! Take a swim with the mermaids, enjoy a complimentary light morning tea, and meet 2 of our baby Hyacinth Macaws.
Kids Discos
Let the kids dance the night away at our exciting discos these Summer school holidays at Ashmore Palms, featuring plenty of music, fun, and a guest DJ!
Face Painting

Bring the whole family to Miss Kellie’s unique Balloon Modelling Workshops these Summer school holidays! Create your own balloon bracelets and learn how to craft fun balloon animals.
Kids Sand Art
Let the kids unleash their creativity at our weekly sand art sessions these Summer school holidays! They’ll have the chance to craft their own colorful sand art creation to take home as a special holiday keepsake.
Kids Craft
Join Miss Kellie for creative Kids Craft sessions, weekly during the Summer school holidays. Make your own craft creation to take home after your Ashmore Palms holiday!
Ghostly Games
Ghostly Games is back at Ashmore Palms these Summer school holidays, offering a fun gaming experience on selected dates.
Xplay Bonus Day
During your Ashmore Palms holiday, you’ll receive a free voucher to enjoy a game of Xplay – our latest Ashmore Palms facility. Choose from loads of fun, interactive games.
Guest Morning Tea
Guests are invited to join us for a complimentary morning tea in the Activity Centre on selected dates. Miss Kellie will be making her gorgeous balloon creations and you can also meet 1 or 2 of our baby Hyancinth Macaws!
Food Trucks
We will also have food trucks on selected dates in the Summer school holidays.
Baby Macaw Meet n Greet
Meet Chilli and Frankie, our adorable baby Hyacinth Macaws, bred right here at Ashmore Palms over the past year. While these beautiful birds are still in training, you’re welcome to take photos of them as they perch on a bird stand during the guest morning teas.
Please note that activities are for guests holidaying in holiday accommodation at Ashmore Palms. Visitors are not permitted to attend the activities or use facilities. If minimum numbers are not met, activities may be cancelled. Ashmore Palms may need to make adjustments to activities and cancel others in situations such as staff illness, bad weather, etc. We thank you for your understanding.
