Take a walk on the wild side with our daily shows, or go behind the scenes and take part in one of our exciting animal encounters or experiences. With 15 daily shows to choose from, there is something for everyone.
Head over to WILD SKIES Free Flight Bird Show where you will meet some of Australia’s most beautiful species of birds. Learn feeding habits of the Black Kite, how Pelicans use their bill to capture food, and how our largest bird of prey, the Wedge-tailed Eagle has been brought back from the brink of extinction. Watch as these majestic birds free-fly across the audience in a wonderful display set against the Sanctuary’s natural environment.
Celebrate the rich local Aboriginal culture embedded in our Gold Coast region and experience the Yugambeh language. Join our Yugambeh Dancers each day at 3.30pm to learn about traditions and culture through song and dance.
Cool off at Wild Island Adventure Splash Zone. Set amongst a stunning landscape of sub-tropical flora and fauna. The Splash Zone offers a range of timed water jets, streams and waterfalls to run through. Wild Island Playground offers plenty for kids to climb and explore – including wobbly ropes bridges, spiders web, flying fox, and more!
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is passionate about conservation and preserving our wildlife for future generations to enjoy. The Sanctuary participates in 16 conservation projects to help save some of these amazing species from extinction.
Visit Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, located on the grounds of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. Established over 30 years ago, it has grown to be one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in the world. Last year the hospital admitted over 12,200, with a staggering 571 Koalas being part of this total number. Proceeds from the Sanctuary, along with donations, allow the hospital to continue its vital work saving our native Australian wildlife. Watch our vets in action from the hospital deck. Both Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and Currumbin Wildlife Hospital are not for profit organisations.
While in the Sanctuary you are bound to meet one of our friendly volunteers. They can assist with any questions and are always full of amazing animal facts which they love to share.
Why not enjoy an icecream or grab a bite to eat at one of our food and beverage outlets while in park. Before you leave, stop off at Spirit of the Outback or Natures Gift to find the perfect gift for family and friends.
